Greenfield cloud-native build

A new product built cloud-native from day one — containers on managed Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, and automated delivery from the first commit.

Approach
Cloud-native from commit one
Runtime
Containers on EKS / AKS
Delivery
CI/CD-driven

Overview

A greenfield application — no legacy estate to carry, and a chance to build it the right way. The aim was a scalable, portable runtime with delivery automated from the start, rather than a hand-built environment that would slow every release.

The build followed the cloud-native progression from application to container to orchestrated platform: containerize the app, run it on managed Kubernetes, and define everything around it as code.

The challenge

Our approach

  1. Containerized the application and ran it on managed Kubernetes — Amazon EKS on AWS, Azure AKS on Azure
  2. Defined all infrastructure as code with Terraform so every environment is reproducible and reviewable
  3. Wired CI/CD pipelines for automated, tested deployments in place of manual, error-prone releases
  4. Baked secure-by-design defaults — private subnets, least-privilege IAM, and encryption — into the platform

It reflects standard, proven cloud-engineering practice rather than a specific named client engagement, and outcomes are described qualitatively.
